In the latest Notification (Advt 02 of 2025) released by the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir on 26th May, 2025, there is an advertisement of various Graduate Level Posts which includes Law Graduates and Simple Graduates.

Junior Assistant

• Pay-Scale: Level-5 (Rs 29200 – Rs 92300)
• Qualification: Graduation from a recognized University, along with Six Months Certificate Course/ Diploma in Computer Applications. Note: Those having higher Qualification in Computers (Like BTech, BCA/MCA etc) are exempted from requirement of computer diploma.
• Selection Process: The Selection Process for the recruitment of Jr. Assistants in J&K High court comprises of Written Test of (80 Marks) and Interview (20 Marks). The Final Merit comprises of Market obtained in the Written Exam and Interview taken together.
• Syllabus: The Syllabus for Jr. Assistant Posts is already notified by the Honorable Court through Notification No. 49 of 2020 Dated 15th, Oct, 2020. Here is the Structure of Jr. Assistant Written Exam
  • General English: 30 Marks
  • General Knowledge/Current Affairs: 25 Marks
  • Computer Related: 15 Marks
  • Court Related: 10 Marks

Pay-Scale: Level-7 (Rs 44900 – Rs 142400)

• Pay-Scale: Level-7 (Rs 44900 – Rs 142400)
• Qualification: Degree in LAW (Professional) from a recognized Indian University and recognized by Bar Council of India.
• Selection Process: The selection process for the recruitment of Reader in J&K High Court comprises of Written test (80 Marks) and Interview (20 Marks). Syllabus and Method of Recruitment for this post, as per the J&K High Court Order 1572/RG/RS Dated: 17/12/2021

• Pay-Scale: Level-7 (Rs 44900 – Rs 142400)
• Qualification: Graduation from a recognized University, along with Diploma in Stenography. Applicant must also have Six Months Certificate Course in Computer Applications.
• Selection Process: By Direct Recruitment, on the basis of English Shorthand and Type writing test with minimum speed of 80 WPM and 40 WPM .

• Pay-Scale: Level-6B (Rs 35600 – Rs 112800)
• Qualification: Graduation from a recognized University, along with Diploma in Stenography. Applicant must also have Six Months Certificate Course in Computer Applications.
• Selection Process: By Direct Recruitment, on the basis of English Shorthand and Type writing test with minimum speed of 70 WPM and 35 WPM .

Steno-Typist

• Pay-Scale: Level-5 (Rs 29200 – Rs 92300)
• Qualification: Graduation from a recognized University, along with Six Months Certificate Course in Computer Applications.
• Selection Process: By Direct Recruitment, on the basis of English Shorthand and Type writing test with minimum speed of 60 WPM and 30 WPM .

1 Domicile: Applicant should be a Domicile of Jammu and Kashmir as per the terms of S.O 166 Dated 18.05.2020

2 Age Criteria: Applicant should have completed 18 years of Age, and maximum age should not exceed 40 years for OM and In-Service / Contractual Employee. For Others Relaxation in age limit as per the below mentioned criteria

• SC/ST-1 /ST-2/RBA: 43 years
• Physcially Challnaged: 42 years
• Ex-Serviceman: 48 years.

Applicant who full fill the above mentioned eligibility conditions, must submit their application forms through online mode. before closing Date ie 16th June, 2025.

Application Fees: Applicants need to pay Rs 400/- as application fees through online mode only.
