The Health Department of Jammu and Kashmir has advertised vacancies for various posts through JKSSB Advt. No. 7 of 2025.

The Table given below lists the various Posts along with the number of vacancies and the Required Qualification. Applicants willing to apply for any of these posts must go through the table given below only after full filling the Prescribed Qualification.

Junior Laboratory Technician	12	Matric or above qualification with minimum two years diploma in lab Technician or having degree in lab Technology course from any recognized institute/ State medical faculty/ J&K State paramedical Council.
Health Educator	10	Graduation with Science from any recognised University.
Sanitary Inspector	10	10+2 or above qualification with minimum two years diploma in sanitation and public health from any recognised institute/ State medical faculty/J&K State paramedical council.
Junior Dental Technician	8	Matric or above qualification having Diploma in Dental Technician course from any recognized institute.
Junior Theatre Technician	9	Matric or above qualification and having Degree/Diploma in Operational Theatre Technology Course from any recognized institute.

Refrigerator Mechanic	6	Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from any recognized institute/University or Matric or above qualification with two years certificate course in Refrigeration and air-conditioning from ITI or any other recognized Institute.
Dhobi/Jr. Dhobi	4	Matric or above qualification and possessing professional certificate issued by the tehsildar concerned or Certificate of belonging to Dhobi community issued by the concerned Tehsildar.
Driver G-II	4	Minimum Matric Maximum 10+2 having valid HGV/PSV Driving license.
Insect Collector	4	10+2 with Science from any recognized Board.
Junior Ophthalmic Technician	2	Matric or above qualification and having Degree/Diploma in Ophthalmic Technician Course from any recognized institute.
Refrigerator Mechanic	6	Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from any recognized institute/University or Matric or above qualification with two years certificate course in Refrigeration and air-conditioning from ITI or any other recognized Institute.
Junior Store Clerk	2	BBA/B.Com from a recognized University, besides having six months computer course.
Junior Health Inspector (FW)	2	Graduation with Science from any recognised institution.
Junior Health Inspector (21-Family Welfare Unit)	2	Graduation with Science from any recognized university.
Technician G-II (Medical Group)	2	B.Sc. (Medical Technology).
Extension Educator	2	Graduation with diploma in Mass Education from any recognised institute.
Prosthetic/Orthetic Tech.	1	10+2 or above qualification from any recognized Board.
Service Engineer	1	Matric or above qualification and having Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic and Communication Engineering from any recognized institute.
Warden	1	10+2 or above qualification with diplomadegree /in Hotel management course from any recognised institution.
Barber G-III	1	Matric qualification with professional knowledge of trade.
CSSD Attendant	1	10+2 with science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology).
Barber	1	Minimum 10+2 with Science and having Degree/Diploma in Pharmacy Course from any recognised institute.
Dresser	1	Minimum 10+2 with Science and having Degree/Diploma in Pharmacy Course from any recognized institute.
Technician G-II (Lab Group)	1	B.Sc. Medical Lab Technology.

Other Eligibility Conditions

Applicants willing to apply for any of these posts must fullfill the above-mentioned prescribed Educational Qualifications and In addition to this a few other eligibility conditions given below.

1. Domicle: Applicant should be a Domicile of Jammu and Kashmir.
2. Age-Limit: Applicants should have attained the age of 18 years and the maximum age should not exceed 40 years. However, there is age -relaxation in the Upper Age-Limit as per the criteria below.
   • For SC/ST/OBC/RBA/EWS: 43 years
   • For Physically Challenged: 42 years
   • For Ex-Serviceman: 48 years

Selection Process.

The selection for all posts will be based on a competitive process involving a written examination.

• Written/OMR Examination: The examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The questions will be set in the English language only. There will be negative marking for each wrong answer, with a deduction of one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question.
• Syllabus: The syllabus for the examination will be notified separately and made available on the official JKSSB website.
• Driving Test (Only for Driver Post): For posts requiring a valid HGV/PSV driving license (e.g., Driver), candidates must first qualify a driving test to be eligible to appear for the written examination
